Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune Hosts head of Navy Medicine East
Lt. Nathan Kerestes, administers chest compressions to a manikin during a mock training evolution in the Simulation Center, just as Rear Adm. Kenneth Iverson, commander of Navy Medicine East, enters the room, during a tour of Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, June 15. The Simulation Center supports every unit in the hospital. There are manikins who represent every possible aspect of the life span from neonatal newborns, children, adults, trauma patients, and pregnant women. All of the manikins are high fidelity and run off of computer programs that allow the learner to be tested on a wide range of topics and situations, making the them as real as possible.
