Fort Bliss, Texas- Soldiers from units across Fort Bliss practice using pressure dressings and checking pulse as part of a Combat Lifesaver course at the Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC) here September 11-14. The 40-hour course provides the Soldiers with realistic scenarios related to current battlefield tactics. The course consist of tourniquet placement, nasopharyngeal airways (NPA), and performing needle chest decompression (NCD) to treat tension pneumothorax or a collapsed lung.
