First Responders | Navy Corpsmen provide first aid care to Republic of Korea citizen
U.S. Marine Corps Col. Douglas R. Burke, commanding officer of Marine Logistics Group-Forward, awards a challenge coin to Hospital Corpsman Petty Officer 3rd Class Tyler Van Iderstine, with Combat Logistics Regiment 37, MLG-FWD, October 23, 2021. HM3 Van Iderstine was awarded the challenge coin for responding to the scene of a vehicle accident and providing first aid to a Republic of Korea citizen, October 19, 2021. MLG-FWD, operating out of Camp Mujuk, Republic of Korea, serves as 3d MLG’s command and control node in support of the Korea Marine Exercise Program which fully integrates with the Republic of Korea MLG and U.S. Marine Corps higher, adjacent, and subordinate units in the Korean Theater of Operations.
