Continuing Promise 2017

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Jan. 5, 2016) – Lt. Cmdr. Robert Lennon, a family medicine physician at Naval Hospital Jacksonville and medical site officer-in-charge for Continuing Promise 2017 (CP-17), checks a patient’s ear for possible inflammation. Lennon will oversee roughly 80 medical personnel, who will provide treatment for about 15,000 host nation citizens in Colombia, Guatemala, and Honduras during CP-17 (from January through April). CP-17 is a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored and U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/ U.S. 4th Fleet-conducted deployment to conduct civil-military operations including humanitarian assistance and humanitarian civic assistance, training engagements, medical, dental, and veterinary support and disaster response to partner nations and to show U.S. support and commitment to Central and South America.
