Breast Cancer Awareness

Virginia Carter, a senior financial analyst for U.S. Special Operations Command, Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, poses for a photo, Oct. 21 at USSOCOM headquarters, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. Carter learned she had breast cancer on her 39th birthday. After being diagnosed in 2002, she has had nine surgeries, two years of chemo and six months of radiation, Carter is now cancer free.
