22 for 22 on 22 – Naval Hospital Bremerton raises awareness for veterans lost to suicide
Giving 22 for 22 on 22...Naval Hospital Bremerton Command Master Chief Randy Pruitt drops for 22 pushups for 22 veterans on April 22, 2016 to support the command's ‘22 Pushup Challenge for Veteran’s Suicide Awareness.' Statistical evidence shows that 22 veterans a day commit suicide and as of April 2016, there have been nine active duty and three Navy Reserve Sailors who have taken their life. The event was organized by Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Elaina McMillian to help raise continual awareness, one pushup at a time, amongst staff members on the struggle that many veterans deal with (Official Navy photo by Douglas H Stutz, NHB Public Affairs).
